You won’t find this term “Full Coverage” on the list of coverages on your auto policy or see “Full Coverage” listed on an auto insurance quote. The phrase “Full Coverage” is usually meant to describe a group of coverages, not just one coverage item.
Most often, “Full Coverage” is interpreted to mean that the policy includes both liability coverage and coverage for the vehicle (comprehensive & collision coverage). Liability coverage is required by the State, comprehensive and collision is not required. “Full Coverage” does not necessarily mean though that the policy also includes uninsured motorist coverage, rental car coverage, roadside assistance, or medical coverage.
